Crude oil and natural gas exploration in the state is still in its infancy and increasing the severance tax at this critical juncture will negatively impact the economic future of Ohio and its residents.

Today, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) confirmed, in a preliminary report, our belief that the recent seismic activity in the Youngstown area was associated with a previously unknown geologic factor, in this case, an un-mapped fault near a Class II injection well.

Ohio Petroleum Council Comments on Recent State Action Regarding Youngstown Injection Well
